Resin identity and role

Commercial names alone may not define chemistry. State the required resin family and whether it serves as a binder, impregnation resin or another formulation input.

Cure and formulation

A resin may require a hardener, catalyst, filler or other ingredients. Define the complete system and process conditions without assuming a universal mix ratio.

Reinforcement and substrate

Compatibility with fibres, fillers and substrates must be assessed for the intended process. Resin identity alone does not establish bonding to every plastic or building material.

Only if a complete application system has been defined for that use. Raw resin supply and a ready-to-apply coating are different purchasing specifications.

Does a grade number identify the formulation?

No. Confirm chemistry, intended use and applicable technical information for the specific resin rather than relying on the grade number alone.
